CSR=ClampStar® Rigid Rail Frame: Although primarily designed to electrically shunt and mechanically reinforce overhead distribution connectors or splices, and damaged conductor, standard ClampStar® CSR units are also suitable for many of the same transmission applications. Applications above 138 kV will likely require available corona shielding. Consult your Classic Connectors sales representative or the factory for details and recommendations on specific applications.

CSF=ClampStar Flexible Rail Frame: This series replaces the rigid aluminum rails with stranded, flexible conductor rails. They are primarily intended for use on larger conductors, splices, clamps, dead ends, and other connectors on transmission lines and in substations. However, they are also suitable for similar applications on 2/0 AWG and larger distribution conductors, and are particularly applicable to electrically shunt and mechanically reinforce distribution dead ends and tangent clamps. Consult your Classic Connectors sales representative or the factory for details and recommendations on specific applications.
